WHY ME ?

Hi;
My name is Tony, One of my hobbies has been collecting Information, photographs, postcards and almost anything related to Merton also surrounding villages. The collection holds some 4000 pictures,along with many stories and information, which grows by the year.
A Tiny Part of this collection can be viewed here from this small village in Norfolk, England.

I now live in neighbouring village of Thompson, but most of my youth I lived at Merton. I am involved in the research into the finding of aircraft crash sites and details on airmen K.I.A who served with the Royal Air Force or USAAF during World War Two. With preference to those in  my local area
Recently I have been involved with an American veterans Memorial of the 455th AAA or visit THE RABBS  based and erected at Watton..

I hold copies of census from 1841-1901, the Church records & ATs from 1812-1883., which I am transcribing, If you wish for a name search, email me. Maybe you would like to add stories, pictures etc of interest to this site or to my files on the history of Merton, or surrounding areas.
